Each Lodine 5 Tablet contains:
Amlodipine Besilate equivalent to 5 mg Amlodipine.

Product Overview

Indications:
Lodine may be used alone or in combination with other medicines to treat:
- High blood pressure.
- Stable (chronic) angina pectoris and angina caused by vasospasm.
- Angiographically Documented CAD In patients with recently documented CAD by angiography and without heart failure or an ejection fraction <40%.

Dosage and administration:

Lodine may be used alone or in combination with other medicines to treat:
- High blood pressure: Lodine is indicated for the treatment of high blood pressure, at an initial dose of 5 mg per day, which may be increased to 10 mg per day in adults.
- Stable (chronic) angina pectoris and angina due to vasospasm (Prinzmetal or variable angina): The recommended dose for stable or variable angina is 5-10 mg in adults.
- Angiographically Documented CAD In patients with recently documented CAD by angiography and without heart failure or an ejection fraction <40%:
The recommended dose for coronary artery disease patients ranges from 5-10 mg once daily.
- In children: The effective dose for lowering blood pressure in children (6-17 years) is 2.5 - 5 mg once daily.
