Zein Plus 12.5\1000 | Film Coated Tablets

Indications:

Zein Plus is indicated for the treatment of adult patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus as an adjunct to diet and exercise:

• In patients whose blood glucose is not adequately controlled on the maximum tolerated dose of metformin alone.
• In combination with other medicinal products for the treatment of diabetes in patients who are not adequately controlled with metformin and these agents.
• Empagliflozin is indicated to reduce the risk of cardiovascular death in adult patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and established cardiovascular disease.

Zein Plus may be prescribed in patients whose blood glucose is not adequately controlled with monotherapy. The starting dose should be individualized based on the patient’s current treatment regimen.

• Efficacy and tolerability should be monitored, and doses adjusted as needed, without exceeding the maximum recommended daily dose of 25 mg of Empagliflozin and 2000 mg of Metformin.
• The dose of Metformin should be increased gradually to reduce gastrointestinal side effects associated with Metformin.
• Zen Plus should be taken orally once daily with the morning meal.
