Indications:

• This medicine is used to reduce the formation of urate/uric acid in conditions where urate/uric acid is produced, such as gouty arthritis, skin tophi, and kidney stones.
• It is also indicated for the treatment of idiopathic gout, uric acid calculi, acute uric acid nephropathy, malignant diseases, and myeloproliferative disorders, as well as certain enzyme disorders that lead to increased urate production.
• It is indicated for the treatment of kidney stones resulting from adenine phosphoribosyltransferase deficiency.
• It is also used to manage recurrent calcium oxalate kidney stones in patients with hyperuricosuria.
